  • Reiki is a gentle energy healing practice that promotes relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words Rei (universal) and Ki (life force energy).

As a Reiki practitioner, I act as a channel for this energy, using light touch or working just above the body to support your body's natural ability to restore balance. Many people experience Reiki as deeply relaxing, calming, grounding, or restorative.

One reason Reiki can feel so calming is that it may help the body shift out of a stress response (often called the "fight, flight, or freeze" state of the nervous system) and into a more relaxed, restorative state. This shift can create space for rest, healing, and a greater sense of ease.

Every person's experience is unique. Some people notice physical sensations such as warmth, tingling, or heaviness, while others simply feel more peaceful, clear-headed, or emotionally lighter after a session.

Reiki is not tied to any religion or belief system and can be received by anyone. Whether you're seeking relaxation, stress relief, emotional support, or simply a moment to reconnect with yourself, Reiki offers a gentle space to slow down and receive.

While Reiki is not a substitute for medical or mental health treatment, many people find it to be a valuable complement to their overall wellness and healing journey.

  • People seek Reiki for a variety of reasons, including:

    • Stress and overwhelm

    • Anxiety and nervous system dysregulation

    • Life transitions

    • Emotional processing

    • Burnout

    • Feeling disconnected from themselves

    • Personal growth and self-discovery

Reiki is not a substitute for medical or mental health treatment, but many people find it to be a supportive complement to their overall wellness journey.

  • Each session begins with a brief conversation about how you're feeling, what brought you in, and any intentions you'd like to set for the session.

You'll then lie comfortably on a Reiki table, similar to a massage table, fully clothed. I'll guide you through a short relaxation meditation to help you settle into the space, quiet the mind, and become present.

Once you're relaxed, you'll simply receive Reiki while I channel universal life force energy. Reiki may be offered through light touch or with my hands hovering just above the body, depending on your comfort level and preference. There is nothing you need to do during the session, just relax and receive.

Many people experience deep relaxation, warmth, tingling sensations, emotional release, mental clarity, or a sense of peace, though every experience is unique. Some people fall asleep which is also completely okay!

At the end of the session, we'll take a few moments to gently transition back and discuss any insights, observations, or experiences that arose during the session.

  • No. You do not need any prior experience, spiritual beliefs, or understanding of energy work to benefit from a session.

Many clients simply come looking for relaxation, stress relief, or a deeper connection with themselves.

  • Distance Reiki allows you to receive Reiki from the comfort of your own home. We can connect via Zoom, FaceTime, or phone call—whatever feels most comfortable for you.

The session begins with a brief check-in, followed by a guided relaxation meditation to help you settle into the experience. You'll then relax in a comfortable position while receiving Reiki. There is nothing you need to do other than rest and receive.

After the session, we'll reconnect to discuss your experience and any insights that may have come through. Many people find distance Reiki to be just as relaxing, grounding, and supportive as an in-person session.

  • At times, intuitive impressions, themes, symbols, or messages may arise during a session. If appropriate, I may share these observations with you.

These insights are offered for reflection and personal growth and should not be viewed as medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

  • No.

While I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), services offered through UnJaded are wellness-based and are not psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, or mental health treatment.

Participating in Reiki or intuitive services does not establish a therapist-client relationship.

  • Absolutely. Many people find Reiki complements therapy, coaching, mindfulness practices, yoga, and other wellness approaches.

If you are currently receiving mental health or medical treatment, Reiki can serve as an additional supportive practice.

    • Wear comfortable clothing.

    • Drink water before and after your session.

    • Arrive with an open mind.

    • Consider setting an intention, though this is not required.

There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki.

  • Everyone's experience is different.

    You may feel:

    • Relaxed

    • Grounded

    • Energized

    • Emotional

    • Clear-headed

    • Reflective

Many clients notice benefits immediately, while others find shifts unfold gradually over the days following a session.

  • There is no one-size-fits-all answer.

Some clients schedule sessions during times of stress or transition, while others incorporate Reiki into their regular self-care routine. Together, we can discuss what feels most supportive for your goals.
